A Southern Summer Wedding

This dreamy rustic wedding submitted by Reese Moore Weddings has such warmth and simplicity to it. I only wish that I was one of the lucky guests who got to take a bag full of those scrumptious looking peaches…and don’t even get me started on that delectable buffet full of southern comfort food like mac’n’cheese and buttermilk biscuits! From the scenery to the sparklers, this summer fete was pure loveliness.

PARTY RECAP {As told by Reese}: Darling couple Jenny and David did a stylish, authentic Lowcountry fete for their summer nuptials. The bride and groom welcomed guests to their reception with fresh peaches from a burlap and wicker basket and the lively sounds of adored Charleston musicians The Plantation Singers, and their friends and family drank cocktails from Mason jars while playing corn hole (with bean bags embroidered with the bride and groom’s names!) on the lawn of the scenic Creek Club. As the sun set over the marsh, hanging lanterns glowed under the live oak trees and candles nestled in coffee beans let off a fragrant aroma. After a delicious dinner of authentic Southern barbecue, mac ‘n cheese, sweet buttermilk cornbread, and blue cheese coleslaw (all denoted on little blackboards), Jenny and David hit the dance floor to party it up before their sparkler departure… which ended with the couple waving to their friends from their get-away boat!
