This darling Dr. Seuss Baby Shower was submitted to us by Merissa Lynne Events. With the mommy-to-be set to have twins, the Thing One and Thing Two inspiration behind everything couldn’t have fit any better or looked any cuter!
PARTY RECAP {As told by Merissa}: On what started out as a beautiful, but windy, day in June at Knight Park in Ambler, PA, Merissa Lynne Events hosted a Dr. Seuss themed baby shower for a dear friend, expecting not one but TWO babies! Thing 1 and Thing 2 were the inspiration, using blue and red draping, with yellow highlights. Scrolling iron lanterns with “truffula trees” sprouting from inside created the centerpieces (DIY pipe cleaners, styrofoam balls, pins and boas). Baby Thing 1 and Thing 2 custom invitations set the tone ahead of time and the Dr. Seuss themed buffet signs and banner were all created by Little Woman Design. The off-kilter “cake” made of diapers was created by a friend. The delicious edible dessert – Dr. Seuss hats and Thing 1 and Thing 2 cake pops – were made by Cake”Stix Confections. Once everything was in place, Nina Price Photography captured it all.
