A Frozen Birthday Party

Styling this Frozen Birthday Party was a real labor of love for me. I ate, drank, and slept with visions of blue, white, and purple dancing around in my head. It was a winter wonderland fit for a queen…a little princess in this case.  The amazing photography was by my sweet friend, Lucy Munoz Photography .

A Starry Fourth of July Party

We had a great time styling this Starry Fourth of July Party! It was no problem finding an array of red, white, and blue inspiration . Since the Fourth always brings along with it hot weather, we decided to cool things down a bit with some vintage polka dot ice cream cups we bought at Michaels. For kids’ favors, we found adorable patriotic sunglasses and star-bubbles, which complimented the theme perfectly. When we saw the decorative red serving tray at Target, we knew we’d have to make it the centerpiece of the party table. To add some height, we actually flipped it over and turned it into a platform for the candy jars! All in all, everyone enjoyed the party and had a real “blast!”

A Southern Summer Wedding

This dreamy rustic wedding submitted by Reese Moore Weddings has such warmth and simplicity to it. I only wish that I was one of the lucky guests who got to take a bag full of those scrumptious looking peaches…and don’t even get me started on that delectable buffet full of southern comfort food like mac’n’cheese and buttermilk biscuits! From the scenery to the sparklers, this summer fete was pure loveliness.

PARTY RECAP {As told by Reese}: Darling couple Jenny and David did a stylish, authentic Lowcountry fete for their summer nuptials. The bride and groom welcomed guests to their reception with fresh peaches from a burlap and wicker basket and the lively sounds of adored Charleston musicians The Plantation Singers, and their friends and family drank cocktails from Mason jars while playing corn hole (with bean bags embroidered with the bride and groom’s names!) on the lawn of the scenic Creek Club. As the sun set over the marsh, hanging lanterns glowed under the live oak trees and candles nestled in coffee beans let off a fragrant aroma. After a delicious dinner of authentic Southern barbecue, mac ‘n cheese, sweet buttermilk cornbread, and blue cheese coleslaw (all denoted on little blackboards), Jenny and David hit the dance floor to party it up before their sparkler departure… which ended with the couple waving to their friends from their get-away boat!

An Alice in Wonderland 5th Birthday Party

Every now and then, a party comes along that is so cute, it makes me wish I was a kid again just so that I can have a celebration like this too! This precious Alice in Wonderland birthday party, submitted by Renee Marie Photography, does exactly that. With so many creative and whimsical details, it’s no “wonder” this one is going down as one of my faves!

PARTY RECAP {As told by Renee}: Danielle is an amazing mom with an equally amazing eye for detail and creativity. So when her daughter Addison turned 5 she put her DIY skills to work creating an amazing ‘Wonderland’ soiree that was themed after a childhood classic: Alice in Wonderland. From the event name alone (Addison in Wonderland) to every party detail, nothing was overlooked. Guests were treated (literally) to an array of sweets and treats including cake pops and cake created by Lollipop Cake Shop. Printables were provided by Etsy Designer – The Tomkat Studio and every other wonderful creation was courtesy of Danielle herself. A special appearance by Alice in Wonderland had every little girl giggling with glee. Whimsical details such as giant playing cards, topsy turvy tea pots and fun flowers created a perfect party that any girl would love. This truly was a WONDERFUL event!

A Southern Fete

This fabulous Charleston wedding, submitted by Reese Moore Weddings, is the perfect combination of southern sophistication and charm. The stunning bride and groom chose the historic William Aiken House for the reception.  Filled with romantic details throughout, this southern fete made for one incredibly beautiful event!

PARTY RECAP {As told by Reese}: This gorgeous pair of doctors, Blair and Justin, threw one wonderful Southern fete for their wedding. Not only did the couple bring their cat, Elsie, to the big day, but their feline companion wore her own stylish bow tie! The couple said I Do on the patio of the cottage at the historic William Aiken house, and bridesmaids looked stunning in deep blue gowns… which perfectly matched the bride’s lovely non-traditional sapphire wedding ring and vibrant blue bouquet! Hanging vases added romance and class to the garden trellis, and the couple’s nuptials were proudly displayed on the marquee of the vintage movie theater on King Street. Congrats again to two wonderful people!
